"Montevideo, Taste of a Dream" is a 2010 Serbian TV series directed by Dragan Bjelogrlić about the events leading to the participation of the Yugoslavia national football team at the first FIFA World Cup in Montevideo, Uruguay in July 1930. The story is loosely based on the novel Montevideo, Bog te video by the prominent Serbian sports journalist Vladimir Stanković. He drew inspiration to write a romanticized depiction of the late 1920s Serbia and the events that popularized the game of football in the country after having watched the American film The Game of Their Lives.

The show is recorded and produced in Belgrade by Emotion Production.Originally, the show started of as Serbian production with housmates form Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Third season included housmates from Macedonia as well. For the fourth season Croatian broadcaster and producer RTL got involved, and auditions were held in Croatia, making the show pan-regional.In Serbia, the show was often picked up by different channels. The first three regular series and three celebrity series were broadcast on B92 channel while the other two celebrity and the fourth regular series were brodcated on Pink. In Montenegro the show is broadcast by Pink M and Prva, in Bosnia-Herzegovina by Pink BH, OBN and BN, in Macedonia by A1 and Sitel, and in Croatia the show is broadcast by RTL respectively.

Karan was replaced by Borka Tomović in 2006. Supporting and guest roles include Nada Macanković, Ljiljana Stjepanović, Gorica Popović, Vesna Trivalić, etc. The sitcom was shot in Belgrade.
