The show mirrored the real world political issues of international isolation facing Apartheid South Africa with the Earth being depicted as a galactic pariah of the "Interplanetary League" due to its cold war with the planet "Krokon". The villain in the series was depicted by Prince Karnati or his evil henchmen.

The End of the World is not Tomorrow (1983)

Riad Abd Rabbo is a philosophy teacher who collides with the materialistic, utilitarian reality that is completely different from the values he has learnt and teaches his students, such as truth, goodness and beauty, and when he fails to fix what is wrong around him, the philosophy of Al-Dardiri, an old thinker who those around him believe has lost his mind, is confirmed. Riad resorts to the same logic as El Dardiri, who died waiting for aliens to help him come up with solutions to save the world from possible and very near doom.

Chandrakanta (1993)

Chandrakanta is an Indian fantasy television series partly based on Devaki Nandan Khatri's novel of the same name. It was originally telecast on Doordarshan's DD National between 1994 and 1996 and was produced by Nirja Guleri and directed by Sunil Agnihotri.The serial was controversially pulled off air by Doordarshan in 1996 and the producers had to file a suit in court for reinstatement. It later enjoyed reruns on Star Plus and Sony Entertainment Television.
