His brothers are already doing a dry goods store there. When the big gold rush breaks out, Levi continues to San Fransicso, where he opens a textile goods business under his own name. The demand from the gold-diggers for hard-wearing pants is high. So the bustling businessman teams up with the ingenious Latvian tailor Jacob Davis, who came up with the idea of strengthening the seams of the pants with rivets. But a protection money patron dominates the port city and makes life difficult for them. And there are also difficulties with the patent.

Four Feather Falls was the third puppet TV show produced by Gerry Anderson for Granada Television. It was based on an idea by Barry Gray, who also wrote the show's music. The series was the first to use an early version of Anderson's Supermarionation puppetry. Thirty-nine 13-minute episodes were produced, broadcast by Granada from February until November 1960. The setting is the late 19th-century fictional Kansas town of Four Feather Falls, where the hero of the series, Tex Tucker, is sheriff. The four feathers of the title refers to four magical feathers given to Tex by the Indian chief Kalamakooya as a reward for saving his grandson: two allowed Tex's guns to swivel and fire without being touched whenever he was in danger, and two conferred the power of speech on Tex's horse and dog.Tex's speaking voice was provided by Nicholas Parsons, and his singing voice by Michael Holliday. The series has never been repeated on British television, but it was released on DVD in 2005.

This French television production by Pierre Viallet tells the story of the Indian Mato, portrayed by Alain Emery. A total of 26 13-minute episodes were filmed in the Sologne plateau and the Alpilles area of the Camargue. Writer-director Pierre Viallet explained that the series was an attempt to present a historically accurate representation of the American Indian rather than the cliche-ridden depictions seen in Hollywood cowboy-and-Indian movies and TV shows. . In the very first episode, Mato gets into trouble. He wants to marry the Indian girl Wany, but her father, Chief Tanka, refuses to give his consent. However, when Mato presents him with horses captured by the enemy, the chief releases his reservations and gives his daughter to the young Indian as a wife.
